Often we can find ourselves wondering why we bother. Can full equality ever be reached? Can it be reached in our times? Unlikely. So why bother? When coworkers ask us to define and redefine why we we still need feminism, why not call ourselves ‘equalitists’ if we want equality for ALL people? When we spend all of our emotional energy on simply fighting the patriarchy by walking out the door, and not giving ourselves the care that we ultimately need, it can feel like a fruitless fight.
