Are you aware that African-Americans have to wait 32 percent longer to cross the street than white people before drivers stopped? That drivers pass by African-Americans pedestrians two times more often than they pass by white ones? Often unfortunately white people aren’t aware of their own racial bias and often react badly when it's pointed out. Racial bias is in everything and is everywhere. Racial bias is racism and it is not natural or harmless. It is cultural and often deadly with African-American and Hispanic males being twice as likely as white men to be killed in pedestrian traffic crashes.
